If creationists are right, why is there no Precambrian rabbit?

I believe in creation myself. I refuse to believe that man came from a monkey.

Why do you refuse to believe that? Is it because of evidence or because you find it offensive?

What evidence?

Even scientists say humans didn't evolve from monkeys.

Reality is not affected by our beliefs.

Would you find it less offensive if I said humans originated from stars?

“The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of star-stuff.”

"Humans evolved from Homo sapiens"

Nonsense semantic games.

All of those sources confirm that humans evolved from monkeylike creatures.

And the Bible says God fashioned Adam and Eve from mud.

That's what creationists argue, "We evolved from monkey-like creatures called humans".

We're not descended from monkeys or monkeylike creatures. We're descended from apes.

Technically humans are apes. Apes are a group of species that share certain characteristics and humans fall within that group, as does our common ancestor with other members in that group like gorillas.

Since we are apparently arguing about semantics now I might as well bring that up.

@LoveNotHate

I have NEVER heard a YEC, except for you just now (you are a YEC, but deny being one for some perverse reason), EVER say humans are "monkey-like". Usually they get offended by the suggestion.

So your claim that that is what "Creationists argue" is dead wrong. Most of them don't argue that.

But having said that...It would be nice if they were to take your lead, and I wish that they would argue that, and further, that they would acknowledge that our recent monkeylike ancestors themselves evolved from earlier stem placental mammals, which in turn evolved from mammallike reptiles, and so on...back to fish...and back to microbes. And admit that this all happened on a longer timescale than a single week of creation. Because then if they DID argue that then there would be nothing for me to argue with them about.

There has been mounting evidence for years that the existence of a supreme being is all but imaginary. Religion can also be used as a tool of manipulation and intimidation. That is something to consider.

People are not animals however - we are better than that. The fact that we have ancestry from simians is irrelevant. WE have arrived at this state in our evolution where we are human and that's that.

Not all humans are better than animals. Some humans are pretty crappy.
