I have severe OCD and thought we could start a discussion. Who else has it?

Best of wishes, I found socializing helps.

I'm around my parents 24/7, so I hope that will help some! What "sub-type" of OCD are you struggling with at the moment?

My therapist said I scored high in all areas. I already had a diagnosis. He gave me some test and said I scored high in all areas. I had my psychiatrist say he already knew I had severe OCD.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious for me too. My current "sub-types" include "just-right" OCD, magical thinking, and "Schiz OCD" (debilitating fear of schizophrenia). OCD sucks lol :D .

I have moderate OCD according to a website, however, I haven't been diagnosed yet.

It used to be almost impossible for me to touch food. I would wash my hands three times and hold them high up. I have a terrible fear that I don't really have mental illness and am secretly faking it without knowing it.

I've had what I think is "Schiz OCD" for about 26 years now ( despite being told multiple times by professionals I don't have it ) although in the last year I couldn't give a stuff if I have it as long as I know :D

Yeah. OCD can seriously ruin one's life. How are you doing currently?

Yup, I've been told by everybody I don't have it, but I can't convince myself I don't!

Here's the best article I've found describing it: https://robertlindsay.wordpress.com/201 ... schiz-ocd/ I hope this helps.

Yes! I'm glad you figured it out, even if it's not the only thing :D . Now you'll probably start obsessing over whether you actually have this thing (joking  )!
