^ Thanks for that!

The 'hot' and 'mine' designations make perfect sense to me. The 'read' and 'unread' much less so. I've read many of the threads with green shapes..... :?

Somebody may have already said this, but..... I always thought that the black dot indicated a thread in which one has posted; the green "bell" (or whatever that's suppose to be) indicates new posts since you last read; and, I THINK the white bell indicates "no new posts", since you last read.

@SaveFerris: Did you read all the posts, and then refresh the forum index page? The bell doesn't turn to white, automatically, when you click on the thread. Also, I have found that it seems one MUST go-through the forum index page, to change the color of a bell----cuz, for instance, if I read a thread from "Search All Posts" (or whatever it's called), in MY profile, and then go to the forum index page, it'll indicate that I haven't read the thread.

I think they are supposed to pieces of paper  but I knew about the black dot meaning thanks :)

I think I had already done what you suggested but just tried it again now and it didn't change to white even though I have read all the posts on this thread including the ones you & Stampy posted while I was typing

Edit: In fact it's now telling me there is an unread post on this post
