Despite the dripping sarcasm from Stefan here if this is true it's damning, both for the mayor and governor. As for the media - it's what we've come to expect, that they're like dogs fed gallons of water being let loose on a fire hydrant when it comes to this kind of content, and this is a great example of what makes even bloggers in their parents' basements look more credible by comparison.

It was more or less the same in Berkeley. The communist antifa guerrillas are trying to provoke violent responses, and the mainstream left (mayors and governors in this case) is happy to let them do it.

Virginia's Democrat governor had said the "white nationalist" groups had stashed weapons around the city of Charlottesville in advance of clashes, and that they were like "an army" that had the police outgunned.

Virginia State Police now contradicting both those statements (basically calling the governor a liar): there were no weapons caches, and the police were more-than-adequately armed to deal with any situation that arose. According to the ACLU, they did not intervene because they were told not to unless given specific orders.
