All this started with that lawyer show in the 1990s.....where there were unisex bathrooms.

The problem is Dan Patrick, the lieutenant governor. He's the one trying to ram the social conservative stuff through.

In all truthfulness, there is a lot of GOP infighting at the state level, even more so than nationally. Gov. Abbott, Lt. Gov. Patrick (Teabagger), and House Speaker Joe Strauss (moderate) are at each others' throats all the time.
