Prolonged internet usage has the potential to lead to a psychological addiction. It's good to take breaks from the internet; or, at the very least, certain sites one tends to visit too often. It's quite detrimental to the health of those who are lonely, in particular, I think. It can help, due to the accessibility of social interaction online, but it's still not very good to be in front of a screen so often, regardless of what one is doing.
Good luck! I hope you can gain a feeling of clarity, and come back feeling refreshed, whenever that may be.
