Hello from Washington State!

Hello all! I'm a new member from Washington State! I'm a 23 year old male who's lived his life with high-functioning autism, with a diagnosis known since I was 1. I've always been kind of a weird kid my whole life, but because I've had the great fortune of a very supportive family and community, I've been able to do quite well up here and carve out a nice niche as a college student and software developer. I love video games and artwork and spend a lot of time with both.

Things aren't perfect, of course. I've struggled quite a bit with relationship and mental health issues, which I have recently begun seeking counseling for. I really want to get married and have a family, but my only real experience with a girlfriend was one who was very controlling, and I'm pretty terrified of dating otherwise. But all in all, being autistic has been a great time for me, and I'm glad to be me.
