Why aren't we using HTML5 for YouTube embeds?

Flash is dead. It's a security risk and a hog of system resources, and I refuse to install it. Yet, in order to view YouTube embeds on this site, I need to have it installed. Why haven't we switched over to HTML5 yet? It's more secure, lightweight, and widely supported.
