My daughter was telling me today about Taylor Swift's new songs and how they differ from her previous music. According to her all of Taylor's earlier songs were about breakups, and the ones I have heard do seem to be like that. Many of the other songs my daughter listens to seem to be about teenage love and romance as well. What I don't believe I have ever heard is a song about someone who just can't get into any relationships, and who no one is interested in. There is the song "Lonely Boy" by Andrew Gold (an old 70s tune) but that seems to be about being lonely in his own family.

Are there songs about there about what Aspies tend to be like-no relationships, no one having a crush on them?

So Many! This is one that comes to mind.

"All the Time" by Barry Manilow

All the time I thought
There's only me
Crazy in a way
That no one else could be
I would have given everything I own
If someone would have said you're not alone

All the time I thought
That I was wrong
Wanting to be me, but needing to belong
If I had just believed in all I had
If someone would have said you're not so bad

All the time, all the wasted time
All the years, waiting for a sign
To think I had it all
All the time

All the time I thought
There's only me
Crazy in way that no one else could be
I can't believe that you where somewhere too
Thinking all the time there's only you

All the time, all the wasted time
All the years, waiting for a sign
To think I had it all
All the time

Here's a song that I can definitely relate to.

I am familiar with a few of those: Eleanor Rigby, Behind Blue Eyes, Pinball Wizard, and Alone Again. I will have to check out the others. One more that came to my mind was "Dance on my Own" by Robert Plant.

While I'm kinda familiar with "Lonely Boy," "Eleanor Rigby," and "Behind Blue Eyes," the one that sticks out in my mind is "Love Rules" by Don Henley. However, a further analysis of my music collection reveals a few others...
"The Boy Who Wouldn't Hoe Corn" by Alison Krauss and Union Station (I'm still not entirely sure of the meaning behind this one, though)
"Imaginary Lover" and "Alien" by Atlanta Rhythm Section
"Walk Alone" by Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash
"She's Gone With The Wind" by the Bellamy Brothers
"Wonderland" by Big Country
"Andi" by Kansas
"Delta Dawn" by Tanya Tucker, and of course...
"All Alone" by Railroad Earth
Your mileage and experiences (and taste in music) may vary.

"Lonely People" by America is another one I just discovered. The lyrics in it do get a little confusing at times, though.
