They use so many acronyms- so bear with me. I live in New York and have a child with Aspergers. He,s 12 now and we,re concerned about his future. We applied for assistance at OPWDD to get him help in jobs ETC. We were visited by a social worker that documented Caleb's history. We then went to a workshop about the program. We recently got a letter in the mail stating we needed to get an autism diagnosis interview and names of people who could accommodate with the interview. We called them all and the best price for the diagnosis we got was 900 dollars. There has to be a better (cheaper) way to get eligibility- does anyone know how ! Help. Paul
