I mentioned these movies on another forum some time ago when we were talking about really bad animated movies. I don't get why our feelings are too delicate and we're just a bunch if whiners because we're offended by a very inaccurate *kids* movie based on one of the worst tragedies in history that basically gave a proverbial giant middle finger to the victims. But what I really don't get is how they were able to rip off so many Disney, Don Bluth and even Loony Tunes characters and not get sued. Maybe because the movies are so obscure or they had such a poor budget it wouldn't have been worth it anyway? :)

Even Titanic by James Cameron? Because I watched that movie, and didn't see anything overtly disrespectful.

I think that making fictional stories out of real life disasters is disrespectful.

i'm sure very few of the centenarians objected to the '97 movie.

So many rip-offs of other animated characters in the first movie:

Two dalmatians just like Pongo and Perdy in 101 Dalmatians.

Two geese like the ones in the Aristocats.

An immigrant mouse family like the Mouskerwitz family in An American Tail

A bunch of racially offensive Mexican mice like Speedy Gonzales.

A rapping dog similar to Tramp or Dodger from Oliver and Company.

One of the animals even said to a dog, "Dog? Who am I kidding, you look more like a bat."
Yes, the dog really did look like a rip-off of Batty from Fern Gully and they even acknowledged this.

It's a pre requisite for films about the Titanic to be terrible, isn't it?

Ok that was a dumb thing to say. I apologize.
