...that would be me...!

Nothing much, beyond '79', however.

Indeed, nice avatar. The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is an amazing album.

Will this be a Genesis video posting thread? Or, simply a discussion thread?

What was your initial introduction to Genesis/How did you get into them?

What are your favorite tracks on LLDOB? I have several, however, my top favorites are, Cuckoo Cocoon, The Carpet Crawlers and The Colony of Slippermen.

If I were to have to choose a single favorite piece, it would be The Musicle Box, then, Blood on The Rooftops, The Cinema Show, Cuckoo Cocoon, Snowbound, Entangled, and Ripples. Although, I am quite fond of many others, as well.

1. It can be both. :)
2. I first got into the Collins-Banks-Rutherford era, but then I started listening to the era with Peter Gabriel on vocals and Steve Hackett on guitar and I loved it, so I bought every single Genesis album ever made (with the exception of From Genesis to Revelation, didn't care for it.)
3. My favorite tracks from The Lamb are Carpet Crawlers, In The Cage, and Counting Out Time.
4. Those are some good songs. I also really like Supper's Ready, In The Cage, Firth of Fifth, The Knife, etc. Too many good songs to name.
Also, they have actually recorded some good songs after And Then There Were Three... such as Behind the Lines/Duchess/Guide Vocal (the songs can count as one song), Duke's Travel's/Duke's End, Dodo/Lurker, Abacab, Home by the Sea/Second Home by the Sea, Domino, The Brazilian, Driving the Last Spike, and Fading Lights, to name a few.

^Nice. I will have to have a listen to the later tracks. Several of the titles sound familiar, and I am quite familiar with others.
Supper's Ready is a favorite of mine, as well. As are, Firth of Fifth and The knife. And, indeed, so many others.
Genesis has been one of my obsessions/special interests for many years. Decades, in fact.
Glad to know that posting music is fine. Thanks for generated this topic/ thread...!

This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music that I have ever heard, and never fails to bring tears to my eyes...

Here is Domino, which is their best song that they made in the 80's. (In my opinion)

Why don't you listen to Genesis anymore?

This song is so beautiful. If you love Snowbound then you'll love this song too.

The only Genesis song I ever cared for was Turn It On Again.

I've always found Phil Collins a bit ridiculous.

Have you ever heard any of their early work (with Peter Gabriel?)
