I went out for lunch with another guy on the spectrum. Since it was just us, and me the stressed person I am, my tics go crazy. I noticed he was copying my tics, and he acknowledges too that it's "contagious" in a way (conversations about disability never go beyond our own experience).
So do you copy other people's tics?

I've never met another person with tics in real life, but if I watch a video or documentary about someone with tics, I find myself copying.

I've read something about this before. It's actually the person's mirror neurons firing and making them copy your tics. I don't really experience this, but whenever I think and concentrate on my tics, they get worse. Hope this helps :D .
