I remember in year 7, there were some odd things about me. My friends simply referred to these things or moments as "my condition", and nobody really questioned it beyond that. It was never an official thing, but most of the school year referred to it as such.

Looking back, I realise that this "condition" was caused by several different things, so I thought I might as well talk about that a bit here. First, there was the hand thing. I actually went to the doctors about that, but all I got from a specialist was a shrug and a "Eh, it's probably nothing major, but I have no idea what it is" after waiting two hours to see them. :/ I've found over the years that this part of the "condition" is directly affected by temperature (either sudden drops in temperature, or highs) if it's cold, then they go a very pale almost greenish colour with small patterns on them, and if it's hot then they go red with white patches/patterns. I usually refer to these as puzzle pieces or splotches because that's what they look like. I find that washing and rubbing my hands can help with this, anything that will return them back to a normal temperature seems to work.

Secondly, there was the twitching and shaking. This all began on a school trip actually. You see, I was just sitting there and my friend was eyeing me up curiously. Then she blurted out "How come you're always shaking and swaying like that?". I blinked at her confused since I was simply unaware that I was doing so. She told me to stand up and sure enough I struggled to stay still on the spot and not sway. Part of me wondered if this was psychological (overthinking the whole staying still thing, so as a result I ended up swaying) or something. Perhaps it was a fidgeting thing, or nervous energy.

Then there were the more sudden movements, like randomly shivering and jolting my left arm for seemingly no reason, or my eyelids fluttering quickly and then suddenly feeling tired or disorientated.

I seem to have grown out of most of these behaviours, maybe they were all in my head. The hand thing still happens, but that's easily enough to deal with. Don't get the hot reaction (red with white patches) as much now though. I find with the hot reaction my body tends to tense up as well. Shivering thing is very infrequent.

Hmm...maybe this post would've been better in the health section, idk. :?
