Is this the ultimate in white guilt? This guy is so upset at the colour of his skin that he is suing his parents. No way he can win this case. We can't time travel and change the injustices done to red and black, however we'd like to.

It's really time we stopped looking at skin colour as an issue. We all have the same colour blood.

Please keep all responses civil - no flame wars please!

I am surprised he hasn't killed himself. I've met white guilters who wanted to kill themselves or go into cuckold porn. The funny thing is that MTV screwed up on describing the latter. They thought it was another "white privelege" deal when it's actually more about making fun of white men's supposed "small white dicks" and being unable to please white women.

Why would he kill himself?

If people killed themselves because they are going through stress in life, we wouldn't have many people left.

He hates himself so much and wants to sue his parents so he's really uncomfortable in his own skin thus may do something really drastic.

That story is about as socially significant as every other story on that website. They maybe true , but they are all tabloid freak show stories.

Maybe I will get back to you about it when I finish reading about the ISIS fighter who sought asylum after being "emasculated by a goat".

He's probably pretending to have white guilt. He just wants to swipe his parent's money.

Yeah, but some races are more privileged than others.

I do not recall ever feeling guilty about the color of my skin, but I have often wished for an opportunity to stand alongside people of color in protest of how so many are treated. I grew up amidst bigotry and had never realized how horribly other people are actually affected by it until well into adulthood, and now today I do my best to color-blindly see people as people, including saints as saints and criminals as criminals, as evidenced by their actions and not their appearances.

That's a satire website, the story is a joke, it's fake. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and read the disclaimer in the footer.

Poe’s Law - Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humour, it is impossible to create a parody of fundamentalism that someone won't mistake for the real thing.

A little google reverse image search does wonders.
The photo is from an actual 2014 story about a truly reprehensible crime committed by the kid in blue.

In all fairness there was a real lawsuit in 2013 of that degree of absurdity.

A lawyer from Kenya filed a lawsuit in the Hague for the "wrongful death of Jesus Christ".

The defendants were the modern nation of Israel, and the modern republic of Italy. The Romans killed him at the behest of their Judean subjects so... the lawyer was holding the modern nations of Israel and Italy responsible for the crimes of ancient Judea and of the ancient Roman Empire!

Don't know what happened with the case. But even if he were to win how would you be able to track down Jesus's surviving "next of kin" to award the settlement money to?

I gotta admit it. I was fooled.

Luckily, this doesn't happen too frequently. The media tends to blow this sort of thing up when it does happen though.

I didn't scroll all of the way down to the bottom to see that disclaimer. But I saw the other headlines (Mobile Home transported by tornado 130 miles. Family unhurt) and figured that the whole site must be the equivalent of that grocery store tabloid that you used to see that had photos of "the Space Alien" shaking hands with Bill Clinton, Ross Perot, and Bob Dole, and choose the option of just not believing the story.

I found the link on a friend's facebook site so she evidently posted it thinking it was real. I didn't verify it as I ought to have! I've revisited the site (all the way to the bottom) and now I can clearly see it's all clever satire, something like the Landover Baptist site which also had me fooled once, years ago.

Considering some of the odd things which really do happen (the truth oft being stranger than fiction) it can sometimes be hard to distinguish between reality and faux.

Which Facebook counts on (contrary to what they say publicly about not wanting to spread fake news) so it can get page views for its advertisers, who are its paying customers.

There is that.
For example, "The Plane That Flew Itself – After The Pilot Ejected, This F-106A Flew for Miles Before Landing Gently in a Field!" https://www.warhistoryonline.com/history/plane-flew-pilot-ejected-f-106a-flew-miles-landing-gently-field.html 2nd source, and there are plenty more out there, http://www.airforcemag.com/MagazineArchive/Pages/2009/April%202009/0409gary.aspx

And the moral of the story is... don't take things too seriously. In the long run life is a joke.
