I bet that if you did doll yourself up in whatever style people expect from Italian women, you could pass. :lol:

I'm just guessing, but I'd suspect that Italian women of a certain social class often dress up with big hair and elaborate nails. My point doesn't go to you personally, but rather to how people perceive the indicators of a particular cultural identity. Under different circumstances, that outfit could identify a person as being a member of a different cultural group.

I don't really fuss over my hair or nails. Nail polish would get on my controllers. I prefer to keep my hair tied back because it would get in my face while doing my daily activities.

My nails are painted right now but they are chipping.
