So if the situation is reversed and someone, say a white person calls a hard working ethnic individual a racial slur. When said ethnic individual was hard at working stealing the white person's property. Would that be racist? If I am understanding this correctly, it's okay to call someone a racial slur (no matter the race) if they are acting like the stereotype of said racial slur.
Also Lincoln believed that blacks shouldn't have equal rights, specifically social and political. He also believed in sending them back.
That changed by the end of Lincoln's life. In his last speech, he spoke of extending voting rights to blacks, and full citizenship. It was in fact the speech that probably got him killed, as an enraged John Wilkes Boothe was in the audience.
