It isn't just the "politicians and their supporters" who believe there is nothing to global warming though. That's my first point, the second being that your claim that "the vast majority of scientists" believe in it and wouldn't make something like this up, is utterly irrelevant to the actual debate regarding whether or not it is real. It is also extremely naive to believe that simply because "the vast majority of scientists" believe something to be true, then it must be true.
Don't feel bad about global warming (a.k.a. "climate change"). It's nonsense, the evidence does not support the notion.
Pass the kool-aid.
Personally I don't feel too invested in humanity's eagerness to wipe ourselves out. If ever a species deserved extinction, H. sapien gets my vote.
Well, the trouble is that we are killing off all the other species faster than our own. I sometimes wish the everything-is-fine-and-dandy crowd would just go talk to a biologist. They have their finger on the pulse of what's going on.
If I'm wrong we won't be here to care.

It's already too late for that. You're not paying attention.

the world runs on energy.
i think that global warming is certainly happening, and i concede that man's emissions contribute to it, but i do not think they are a crucial factor.
if man died out today, and everything stopped, global warming would still occur because we are at that point between inter-glacial periods.
anyway, the root of most human misery is the cost of energy.
"big fossil fuel" companies are screwing the world over.
coal, oil and gas. that's what we use. all pricing is impacted by the costs of energy.
these monopolistic buggers can hold the world to ransom by choosing how much they want to charge for the raw materials.
then the power stations also add to the woe by citing infrastructure maintenance and running costs to their pricing structure, and the providers of the energy add their cut and everyone struggles to pay for the power they need themselves, and also for the price of goods that they buy.
i do not believe in socialism, but i do think that governments should take control of all aspects of energy provision (excepting of course the arab oil producers).
they would reap many rewards in revenue and be able to optimize the process and bring the prices of everything down.
capitalism is fine, as long as the government retains all control of essential services like energy, health, prisons etc.
the businessmen can have the rest. the production of cars and whitegoods and foods etc. et al.
but i am nearing the end of my life (advanced emphysema) and i am not philanthropic enough to give a rats arse how the world develops after i die.
