Not sure if it's just me, but I've had a bad habit of breaking dishes in the sink. I'm very clumsy and bump into walls and drop things all the time.

hopefully you don't do the same with glassware, and if you do you're wise enough to totally drain the sink and clean the suds so you can clearly see the pieces to be picked up.


...instead of just ramming your hand into the water and immediately slicing your fingers, bleeding profusely and necessitating the use of a finger condom.

I hate it when I break dishes on accident, its the absolute worst! :x

I do break dishes. Or drop my fork while eating. Or spill hot tea on myself.
I damage dishes much more often while putting them into a dishwasher than when washing them in a sink. Funny, because that's perfectly opposite to the historical purpose of the dishwasher invention :D

Are you using something break resistant like Corelle dishes? It can help to put a rubber mat inside the sink.
