Can you have a meltdown without exhaustion? Tonight in my room, I kept feeling increasingly on-edge. I repeatedly hit my head on my pillow many times, made low noises over and over, rocked, moved around kind of angrily...This all lasted 5-10 minutes and I don't really have the stress which had me meltdown in a long while. I wasn't tired after and no one was involved.

Having difficult behavior can happen out in public for me too.

Am I kind of alone with this?

Being momentarily confused by delayed processing of hearing words can make me think, 'Huh? Slow down'.

I sometimes have short meltdowns too. It can definitely happen out in public for me, and sometimes it can be a little embarrassing. One time I had a meltdown when my extended family was around and I had to leave the room. I don't have to be exhausted to have a meltdown either.

Thank you for the response. My meltdown did surprise me.

No problem :) . They always surprise me too. Sometimes I'll be crying (when I'm having a meltdown), yet I'm not even sad about anything. It can just take one little thing to push me over the edge.

Oddly enough, major changes can be noticeably upsetting to me, otherwise I stay fairly calm.

It is the same way with me as well. I am pretty calm and not usually quick to get angry, but if something changes I can get very upset and angry.
