Being very anxious and obsessed that the world would be ending soon, especially with all the hype about Y2K, even though I knew I was being stupid (maybe).

Knowing it wasn't going to be midnight at the exact same time all over the world on Jan. 1st, 2000, and wondering why other people didn't seem to realize this.

Seeing cute little plush toys of the Y2K bug, wearing little t-shirts that said things like "Let's party like it's 1900", and wondering why they'd make a cute toy of something that was supposed to end up killing everyone.

The home I was staying in filling all the sinks and bathtubs with water in case of a Y2K-related emergency on the last day of December 1999, even though they no longer felt it was likely.

People everywhere breathing a sigh of relief on New Year's Day 2000... and until *it* happened.

^ Netflix Australia just added every episode of all the Star Trek series, including the new one. Takes me back, :D and it's been taking up a lot of my free time lately. No Babylon 5 or Stargate TV episodes, though.

For some reason, the very first thing that came to mind when I thought of the 90s was that song Barbie Girl, by Aqua. I suppose it's because bubblegum pop was more of a thing back then.
