Hi All:

This song remix was written shortly after a bad experience in a psych ward and I came to an internal realization that psych meds and the psychiatrist that prescribe them for seemingly just about everything are seen by some as a savior (like certain religious figures) but also an enemy of sorts because of how their lives or the lives of those they love have been forever ruined.

Title: “Jesus is the Manager of the Psych Ward”
Original Artist: Smile Empty Soul
Remix By: CF2649

Internal Notes: This song is meant not as a jab at any religious belief or practice, but a jab at psychiatry and the people who follow blindly what the doctor says because that person has a “M.D.” or other abbreviation and went to medical school and they didn’t. This is about those people that take “doctor’s orders” as seriously as some people take the religious orders (in any religion).

Lyrics:

Verse 1:

Come on in little one, but remember where you are. Hold your thoughts and your tongue, and grab yourself a chart. To fill with all the things, that keep you on your knees; and if you live a tortured life, when you’re here, pretend you’re clean.

[Chorus:]
Because Jesus is the doctor in the psych ward, and Jesus is the doctor in the psych ward. He freed us from our pain, and he gave the world a new start. Now Jesus is the manager of the psych ward.

Verse 2:

Close you mind with the door, to keep the voices out. Everyone in the ward has shut there little mouths. Except when they say “Look how much I’ve changed”, and all they have to do is smile, while our lives decay.

[Chorus:]

And if you say they work for you, then you’ll be saved. And if you say they work for you, then you’ll save.

Close you mind with the door [X2]

[Chorus:]
