In the 1960s, they had many good rock-n-roll sorts of shows--one example being "Beat Club." Far more advanced than something like Bandstand.
You can watch early Jimi Hendrix on YouTube in one of those shows.
A German named Astrid was the primary impetus behind the "Beatle Haircut."
I am glad clips of that show are available on Youtube. You can watch nearly every classic rock, pop, soul act you know and plenty of acts you don't. They also have lesser known songs by well known acts.
There was a 1970's German show called "DISCO" that had all sorts of music genres with a studio audience that intently watched but barely reacted.
What do I think of first?

Saying "gesundheit", meaning "health". when someone sneezes. Where I live though, most people just say "bless you", and would probably look at you funny if you said gesundheit.
"Dumkopf", a word I have often heard German characters in TV shows say to someone they perceive as stupid. That's why the word "dumb", which used to only mean "mute", now also means stupid, and most people don't like to be called it.
How everything that even looks like Nazi propaganda is banned. The whole incident in WWII is really an old shame to most Germans, and they don't want anything like this to happen again, ever.

BMW and engineering in general. Some say BMW stands for Brings Mechanics Work so maybe not the best engineering but I don't care I like them. I had a friend whose grandfather was in the Nazi army. Him and Grandma moved after the war. She was mad because my friend could only speak a little German. He has lost his culture. Besides him the only people I've known who like Germany are sadly those types who want to glorify that time but who also don't really understand what the country really is. It's MUCH more science and mechanics then one war.
