I'm not sure if the subject text is completely accurate, and I'm not sure if I can explain clearly. There is this thing that occasionally happens when I talk to someone while drunk. I have something I want to say, but when I try to say it I'm kinda unable to get out a word for a long while (but making some kind of choke-like sounds). When I finally manage to speak, I say whatever I wanted to say extremely quickly kinda like a dam that bursts. I'm not sure what's causing this.

When I'm not drunk, I will occasionally pause if I'm not sure exactly to say and then proceed speaking normally when I've planned what to say. I'm not sure if this relates to the other situation. Does anyone relate to the "choking" or know what the cause could be?
