Not only could I do it, doubt it would be difficult

Because I am emotionally fragile and often gorge, at the slightest provocation.

So, sooner or later something much worse will occur

And I will gorge til morbidly obese

All it takes is getting raped, getting certain diseases, becoming homeless. A lot of things like that....

Hypothyroidism

Prader Willi Syndrome

I have no idea. I wouldn't even try it. I would need to eat big meals everyday and that is if I liked to cook and if my husband always cooked large portions and I had them all always or if we were always eating out and I always finished my plate. That would be too expensive and I don't know how long it would take for me to get that big. Plus I would have to be a couch potato and be lazy to put on that much weight.

How heavy do you mean? Like 600 pounds plus?

Heck no. I'm not risking my health. I can't even eat too much to begin with due to my gag reflex and common sense. If I'm full I'm full.

it would be pretty easy for me to eat until morbidly obese.

all it would take is a couple things:

some diseases reduce the metabolism

getting physically injured so much, that i could not move, thus reducing metabolism

ending up homeless, and having to eat anything i could afford. with panhandling proceeds. and only being able to afford junk food.

not only that, but i could do it easily, with or without junk food. love peanut butter and chocolate. but love granola too.

For anyone who is interested, you can find out your BMI here and figure out how much you'd have to weigh to be considered obese (although the number will be lower if you are East Asian). I think morbidly obese is defined as a BMI of 35+ or 40+, can't quite remember.

Depending on how tall you are, you'd probably be considered morbidly obese at less than half that weight. But I wasn't asking if people would purposefully eat until obese, I meant to ask whether you think it's possible to get huge without eating junk food.

I would have to weigh 160 to be overweight and be 192 lbs to be obese. The highest I have ever been was around 170 and that was 7th grade and I didn't even look fat in the photos. then I lost the weight and was just then in the normal range and stayed that way for two years and then I lost more weight. I did it all from eating less and not having snacks and no seconds and I stopped eating for taste. I weigh the least now than I ever had as an adult and teenager. I am back to where I was after I had my son.

Walnuts could get you there, they're extremely calorie dense.

I voted "no" before reading the second part of the question. I couldn't eat to be morbidly obese. Personally. I'm over-sensitive to taste and can't eat when not hungry.
I had to work on the other end - to eat enough to keep my body strong.

My father got obese on non-junk food diet and low sugar (he doesn't like sweets) - but BMI about 32 is far from being morbidly obese.
So, probably, you would need to add more sugar to hit the goal.

Drink a lot of high-calorie nutrition drinks such as Boost or Ensure.

Do you mean general you or specific you? If the former, then there are definitely calorie/fat dense foods that aren't considered junk food that could get one there, as others have mentioned, although you might have to actually be trying in order to go from average or low weight to being morbidly obese from eating them. For me personally, I couldn't do it because I can't eat a whole lot in one sitting before my body refuses to swallow any more. In fact, I do eat a significant amount of junk food and, at 5'5.5" in height, have never weighed more that 115 pounds, probably because of high metabolism and a small appetite. I'm usually around 100-105 pounds.
