I am interested in looking into whether us autistic people are more prone to poor physical health. I created this quick test.

If you want to take part, answer each question and add up your score. Then share please if you don't mind.

1. Are you muscular, slim or have only a slightly overweight belly? Yes, 1 point. No, 0 points.

2. Do you have more digestive problems than most people you know? No, 1 point. Yes, 0 points

3. Do you feel you would defend yourself against a physical attack as well as an average person of your gender would? Yes, 1 point. No, 0 points

4. If you jog, lift weights, do press ups, yoga or any other exercise for a lengthy period of time do you tend to get tired and not be able to carry on before most people? No, 1 point. Yes, 0 points

5. Do you either a) regularly get coughs and colds or b) when you get them they last a long time? No to both questions, 1 point. Yes to either questions, 0 points

6. Do you often use over the counter pills or medicines to cope with pain that isn't a broken bone or something like that but is rather an internal physicql pain such as stomach or head ache? No, 1 point. Yes, 0 points

7. Are you able to wear expensive leather shoes or shoes with not much support if you are a man or high heels if you are a woman without getting painful blisters? Yes, 1 point. No, 0 points

8. Were you one of the least talented students in your school P. E. Class? No, 1 point. Yes, 0 points

9. Does doing basic household or personal chores like dusting, hoovering and bathing yourself tire you out? No, 1 point. Yes, 0 points

10. Do you think you have to or need to visit the doctor and hospital for physical health problems more than your friends, family or coworkers? No, 1 point. Yes, 0 points

I score myself 3 out of 10!

9 points. As I kid I was smaller than just about everyone else in my class. But defense isn't just about size.

I got 4 of 10 - points for numbers 1, 2, 9, and 10 for me. I don't know about 7, because I can't wear high heels without falling down - I couldn't walk around in them long enough to know if I'd get blisters or not.

8 of 10. Probably couldn't defend myself well, as I don't have the ability to control my thoughts during a surprise physical confrontation. And I was terrible in P.E. class at everything, despite trying harder than probably anybody else in my classes. But in everyday life, I'm in great health :)

So it seems we are mixed. Generally either physically healthy or quite physically impaired.

8/10 and I'm pretty much middle-aged :)
I'm prone to mild viral infections that go away quickly, but yeah, I do get them often in winter.
Not sure if I could defend myself properly in a fight. I did that once in my life after being attacked in the street and I basically clawed guy's face (not a proper defence haha), another time I punched and kicked a guy who tried to sexually assault me. Hmm, maybe it could be 9/10 but now I'm older...
