dunno. something i did which was a funk/jazz thing, but with an overtone melody that will not be easily understood by general listeners, but it adds greatly to what follows it in a psychological way (for me)

^^ Couldn't get it to load. I'll try again. Insofar as the overtone melody / musical complexity goes, I like YES, Lew Harrison and Charles Ives, not to mention Weather Report and Return to Forever, so I am looking forward to hearing your composition.

Let's not forget Johnny G.
And since we are already paying for a long distance call we might as well dial up Midnight Star as well!

Oooooooh, nice! :-) Reminds me a bit of (edit in: the late, dammit  ) Joe Sample :-) (whom I adore).

Is Clyp like YouTube - do you have other compositions there? (I'll rummage around and see if I can figure it out :-) )

Didn't realize that Joe Sample had passed away. Here is a sample of Joe Sample.

I'm in a somber mood today....

Peace Go With You Brother -- Gil Scott-Heron (not funk as such but a neglected treasure)

And more Crusaders: Chain Reaction (definitely funk)

And more Chain Reaction: with a twist from Michael Franks

Lee Ritenour - before he went to Brazil - Tell Me Pretty Lies. Gets seriously funky about 2:40.
(Man must have ten fingers on each hand.)

Legomaster, I've been getting this as an earworm ever since I listened to it. No worries, it's made it a lot easier to do the dishes :-)
