That seems like the worst topic to always redirect a conversation to. (Or possibly the very very best) So yeah. I think by all reasonable measure if you are steering a conversation toward squiggly duck penises AT WORK and you aren't a zoologist, I think you hit the criteria for special interest.

I only play material that I have written or co-wrote.
I wrote a New Genre Rock Opera that I'm wanting to stage here in Scotland.
My only solace comes from writing and performing.

'only solace' what about the lovely weather up there?

The thing is, I would rather everyone monologued. I hate small talk, but I love learning things. Discovered a guy at work loves cooking knives, so he came over and showed me pictures of knives, and described the difference between handmade European and Japanese knives.

A party of everyone in this forum is a party I might actually turn up to. It'd be like a stroll through Wikipedia.

I've had a few different people call me a "human Wikipedia"... ¬_¬

It's one of the best websites out there, so that means that you are one of the best

Got carried away before when talking to my friend, they brought up cats and dogs, so I ended up talking a lot about different types of dogs, and the nature of cats, and my friend just looked at me, and asked if I even took a breath in that speech, haha.

Horses are my longest-running special interest. I used to work at a place with draft horses and one of my coworkers used to jokingly warn class participants not to ask me about different kinds of driving bits unless they wanted a full 40 minute dissertation on the subject.

WooHoo! 9 years... currently on hiatus because the pay to win store nonsense is... tiresome, and the grind is anything but delightful.

-Software synthesizers (Currently Pure Data, I just can't afford real actual synths and that's fine with me)
-Brain wave entrainment and making such audio files (with gnaural or Brainwave Generator) and putting them on youtube.
-Making CGI with Blender
-Politics and news.
-Reading random medical and biochemical papers.

Anything related to the natural history of the coast and seashore. At any one time I tend to get obsessed with one particular aspect such as seabirds or seaweed. I usually stick to things related to the coasts of the UK as I like to be able to easily go and see things for myself as well as reading about them. I have always lived on the coast and would hate to live inland. Luckily I have a lovely beach just a couple of minutes walk from my house. I have always loved the coast and seashore.

I checked euphoric in the poll. I tend to get really excited just thinking about my interests.
