And there already is a prequel to the fellowship of the ring....It's called The Hobbit as I recall.

I like it because I hope it will bring in more Lord of the Rings Online players.

The hope is that it would be on a similar scope as Game of Thrones. The expectation is that it will just be another Xena clone like The Shannara Chronicles.
