It's whatever, at a given moment, I feel driven to be an expert or authority on. It can last for a few days to a few years, and sometimes I will come back to a particular interest after months or years. I feel safe when I'm wrapped up in one. Currently it's The Muppet Show.

I had one main special interest from the age of 8 and that was astrology. People used to wonder how I could remember their birthdays after only being told once. A few years ago, I just gave it all away. I'll never forget the exhilaration and flood of emotion I felt when I was liberated from that crap.

Now, I've switched to subconscious reprogramming as my main 'thpecial interetht' along with health and nutrition (this is not to say I'm healthy and nutritious, so put those fangs away).

A special interest is like a normal interest but you are really focused on it and you talk about it a lot
