I have a thing for this song because my sign is Aquarius.

The song captured the zeitgeist of that era.

The tune is very catchy

A great cover, by the group the Fifth Dimension, of a catchy song from the rock musical "Hair" (musicals composed of Rock music were a new thing back then in the late Sixties).

Trouble is that astrologers can't agree on when exactly "the Age of Aquarius" is supposed to begin.

Your birth sign is about a month long. But the "age" in history named for your sign is 2160 years long, and goes in reverse order that the signs of the horoscope go during the year. We had been in the "age of Pisces" for like 2000 years. Maybe we crossed over into the New Age at the time of Musical Hair, or are crossing right now (just before, or just after the end of the 20th Century). But according to some astrologers we still have a couple centuries of Pisces to go. So I don't know whether to get all excited about the new age yet, or not.
