Has any shoplifter ever actually been apprehended after they went off? I've never heard of such happening. It seems like all those alarms do is create a nuisance for honest shoppers.

It was a long time ago, but I knew two guys who used to apprehend shoplifters for sport.

At the WalMart I worked at, they would let shoppers go through after those things went off without checking their receipt & items or anything. I worked overnight thou so it could of been different during the daytime.
