I like living within 2 hours of the ocean, if I get desperate enough.

I cannot understand why Americans choose to live in parts of America that have terrible winters, when they could live in a warm state like Florida or Hawaii??

Ha. Well, I'd say not Florida, coz of the sinkholes there, and I mean tens upon hundreds, and no one likes their house being swallowed up, or their possessions. Poor People. I feel for them.
Hawaii doesn't have too many job prospects, unless you want to be end up a beach rep.. That's why I guess.

Hawaii has a high cost of living compared to out in the sticks stateside where I live. part of the reason I live where I do is relatively low cost of living. and for such an affordable place, the weather is reasonably temperate.
