How can I recover my old password?

I was an active WP user a couple of years ago under my nickname of Irulan but then I stopped participating in discussions so it wasn't until a couple of weeks ago when I tried to log in again but I got the message that the password was wrong (how comes? :x ) and when I tried to get a new one, nothing came of this in spite of my numerous attempts. So hereby I'm starting posting under a new nickname but I would want to be able to post as Irulan again. Is there anything I can do?

no, you can only have one account, sorry for that but it makes sense

But I would have only that old account if I were able to recover the password, I wouldn't use this very one I'm using.
