If it's a movie or a TV show and it came out any time in the past 4 years, I have not seen it.

I will say I've began catching up. Watched all of Game of Thrones, Black Mirror, and Mindhunter. Also caught up on all the new Star Wars movies.

What are the best movies and shows that have come out in that time, in your opinion? No spoilers please.

There is so much I haven't seen, that I have no idea where to begin. I didn't even have world news during that time, really. I had no idea CGI advanced as far as it has, replacing actors' faces with other actors' faces... so much is new to me.

Stranger Things....seriously watch it on netflix, its so great....like its seriously an amazing show and I will say nothing about it...if I talked about it, than I would certainly give spoilers so all I will say is it's great. Seriously though watch Stranger Things.....there are two seasons already so you can even binge watch it.

You aren't the first to recommend it to me, I think I'll have to give it a shot now haha. Thanks.

Agree with Stranger Things, it's a great watch. I also loved the first season of True Detective (2014), a series about two detectives trying to track down a serial killer. Mr. Robot (2015) is about a cybersecurity expert with mental health problems who joins an anarchist group.

If you enjoy Black Mirror you may like Inside No 9. It's like the comedic little brother of black mirror, It is a bit softer, A bit lighter (just a tad, it is very dark at times), but just as clever and twisted. Into it's forth season now, similar premise to Black mirror, each episode is a new setting, a new story. Highly recommended, for me, one of the best British TV shows to come out in many a year.

I never watch a movie or TV show just because it's new, but there are some things I can recommend.

The Good Place. This is the best comedy show I've seen since Friends.

Vikings, this is my favorite TV series ever.

Sense8. Created by Lilly and Lana Wachowski.

I recommend Stranger Things too.

Vikings is awesome, I have seen the first three seasons but nothing past that so I will have to catch up at some point.

And might I add, The Alienist, which I just started watching.

The Goldbergs - My favorite sitcom in recent years. (I dislike the "1990-something" spinoff though, as it doesn't even focus on the main family anymore...)

Family Feud - the revival featuring Steve Harvey as the host. It's pretty hilarious at times.

Game of Games - game show with Ellen Degeneres as the host. It's hard to explain but it's a lot of fun to watch.

The Tracey Ullman Show - the revival on HBO. Great if you like British comedy.

Jim Gaffigan's standup specials on Netflix. One of the funniest comedians I've ever seen, and his comedy is "clean" too!
