Any news on getting an assessment?

I deleted my initial answer as it reveals too much personal info. Answering this might be done via PM, if you like!
Hint: not yet.

I just cannot change my way of thinking even if I tried. Changing your thinking does not bring back what has been lost or damage that has been done.

Would you be kind enough to give me an example of when you did try to change your thinking.

I envy you, Marknis, for you live in the US. I sometimes feel ambitious but then I realize that many things I will never be able to fulfill.

Why do you envy me for that? Most users on the forum, including the American members, want the US to be destroyed!

^for higher education and scientific research is better in the US (than where I live) and I don't dismiss some of US troubles. And I stay away from politics for it takes real effort to sort it all out. Would better be not involved in things I don't understand.

Oddly, where I live, those things are considered "weird" and "evil" by rednecks.

You’d find people are the same elsewhere. Things you describe are similar to here and I live in a liberal area.

Are you into filming wildlife, Marknis? You can retreat to the world of nature and make some nice pics. Or launch a YouTube channel. This way your chance to get popularity among women is much higher. And you don't need to go to those bars you describe. I don't go to such places and have no regrets.

That's a bunch of malarkey. Most people don't want to "destroy" the US.

The US is still a great country in many ways----but things do have to change.

it is evident that people want change.

Unfortunately, that's why Trump was elected: "change, any change." They might have been afraid of a "Clinton dynasty" similar to the "Bush dynasty."

<--- Does not want the US to be destroyed. Live in a redneck area? Move away from it. Buy a used car and live in it for a while. I did.
