Started a new job today. It's the first one I've started since my diagnoses which I asked for in part because I struggled so much with the non-work part of previous jobs. I didn't tell them I'm an Asperger so I feel a little bit dishonest but I know I can do the work part well and I am being very careful on the people side. I didn't talk too much, and I kept my comments relevant. It's shop work but I had to go through a till instruction manual but once I was actually on the till it was fine. I've just realised that while I've memorised the staff door code and my new till code, I can't remember anyone's name, typical. They were very nice to me (it's usually later on that I have problems) and I'm hoping that due to there being a lot to do and I'm only doing 16 hrs a week and being more aware of potential problems it will go better than previous jobs.
