So I shaved my head today in an attempt to reestablish my microbiome. I hope to never have to use shampoo again.

I haven't used soap for at least 20 years.
Can't remember the last time I used shampoo.
I've even stopped washing my hair altogether and just give it a rinse in the ocean a few times a week.
It only gets better.
No more dandruff or scratching myself until I bleed.
My skin and hair are the healthiest they've ever been.

i have a soap allergy.
Also hate showering due to sensory issues.
People always assume you're dirty if you don't use soap, or don't shower, but I cleanse myself just as much as regular people, if not more so.
Also brush my teeth with coconut oil and make my own natural deodorant - bicarb, cornflour and coconut oil mixed together with a few drops of essential oils.
Olive oil makes a great cleanser, massaged in and then wiped off with a damp cloth.
Coconut oil and tea tree oil makes a good antibacterial hand wash, if you need one.
I used to use honey and bicarb to wash my hair, mixed to a paste with water, then an apple cider vinegar rinse for conditioner.
Coconut oil and cacao butter as moisturiser.
Sugar makes a good cleanser too.
A good rule is not to put anything on your skin you wouldn't eat.

So washing up with Tide Pods would be fine?

^ Speaking of washing up, have a look at the warning on your dishwashing liquid.
"If swallowed, call poison information centre"
You're washing dishes in it.
That you eat from.
Rinse those dishes extra well, people.

Am I paranoid?
Probably.

I think about that at work sometimes...everything has to be food-grade, well that doesn't necessarily mean it's something you would want to eat. I made the mistake of using degreaser to wash dishes one time, and even after rinsing it real good, it made its contents taste awful. I can only imagine how bad our food-grade lubricants taste, which have a good chance of actually making contact with product >_<
