Sheikh Rashid Bin Saud Bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain, attended the inauguration of Autism Centre, a first of its kind on the federal level in UAE that specialises in training and educating individuals with autism following international best practices

The Centre can host between 100 and 150 cases. Initially it will cater to 55 cases, which will be increased gradually. Currently, there are 1,338 persons benefiting from the various rehabilitation programmes provided by local or federal autism centres.

In my country we have an autism center since 1999.

But it's all for the low functioning classic autism, of course, no one believes in AS here (including people from that center), if you look normal then you're normal -

As the Emirates are so wealthy, and compared to their Saudi neighbors, quite a bit more enlightened, I would have thought they would have had an autism center long ago.
