...I am sneaking this posting time in, the condition of this phone...But in what time I have, I will say that the above-tbe-49th is a pompous ass, I don't think he has anything useful to say to me :x , given his past complaing about " You asked for...", now it could seem he's trying to set up a situation where he can comlain'You asked for..." again and act superior and knowledgeable...You're useless to me! :P :x You know nothing about being HL. You're useless.
RR, I've been early always in a hospital or rehab (where I'm not supposed to go out). I haven't had the stability and freedom or a car) - or connections - to attend to that. Could you re-post those SC links?

The protection of the haven doesn't include you being free to talk to people that way.

Re: Santa Cruz waiting lists for apartments.

The Bad News: Unlike a lot of counties (King County or Clallam County in Washington, for example), you have to apply to each and every apartment complex you're interested in in Santa Cruz County. There is no one comprehensive waiting list.

The Good News: The Housing Authority of Santa Cruz do list those complexes which have open waiting lists. Currently, there are three, one of which you qualify for. The first complex says you have to be a farm worker. The third complex says you have to be 60 years old. At least you qualify for the 2nd - Resetar Residential Hotel in downtown Watsonville.

https://www.hacosantacruz.org/waiting-l ... -programs/

I don't know how long the waiting lists are in Santa Cruz. In Seattle, it's 4 to 7 years, that's why I relocated to Jefferson County where the waiting lists are 6 months to 1 year.

Re: Watsonville

By car, it's 22 min/17.7 miles away from Santa Cruz
By bus, it's an hour away.

Just as you cannot call people "useless" as you did.

This is why ASS-P hasn't managed to better himself much, if at all, over the years.

Someone (anyone, online or IRL) offers help of some sort, and this is how he responds, and that's why I say he's "unhelpable," as he seems determined to tell off anyone who may have something of value to help him out with, whether info/knowledge or material items. He was equally as miserable a few years ago when he was in the Seattle area a few hours drive from me & I posted saying I was within driving distance to bring some donated items but he wasn't someone who'd accept and utilize them so it'd be pointless for me to go through the expense.

As for knowledge of homelessness/survival camping.. let's see:

~a decade of boy scouts - I learned some camping things.

~6-7 years ago when my symptoms were at their worst & I was sick I wasn't able to work and lived in my friend's construction site for a year and a half. My income ranged from zero to $150/month (although food/essentials were provided to me) & I certainly learned to make the absolute most of the money I did have - which was far below the welfare rate of $610/mo

I've done some camping since. I also have an education that encompasses a lot of problem solving skills that enable me to be incredibly resourceful with minimal availability of resources. I do things like the Tough Mudder in Whistler (4x, 5th time this June!) because I have a "never give up!" attitude & will persist despite whatever struggle I'm going through. I've endured other not-so-fun things. And while I've only come close but haven't actually ended up sleeping on the streets, I care about those who do - especially young people - and that's why I've done fundraisers for Vancouver youth homeless shelter, have gotten homeless kids jobs, lend them cell phones, $ for food/shoes etc.

It's not as if I know absolutely nothing about survival or being homeless. My post was genuine whether you believe it or not. I do think it would be a valuable exercise to discuss essentials worth possessing & carrying when that's the position you're in in life, as one would assume the objective is to optimize the space & weight of one's carrying capacity with the things of greatest use. Like I said earlier, you might learn some things from us, and we might learn some things from you.

...RR: Thank you for the posts. Could you repost the old ones too?
I am so annoyed with having to deal with GF again - and time presses now - that I will cut this short and not say something major.
GF :x , however. seems to pat himself on the back once more for, as best I can read his first post above, thinking of sending me something but deciding not to without ever telling me that. Uh huh  . How do you, Om, feel about him calling me a name?

@ASS-P - You may as well also apply for the housing complex (El Centro Residential in downtown Santa Cruz) which says you have to be 60. The waitlist is so long that you might be 60 by the time your name gets called up anyway

BTW, Santa Cruz has a homeless population of 9,000 people. That means the waitlists are going to be very long.

RU called you psychotic because you fantasize about drugging and harming people just because they work in the mental health field. Like my wife, who has worked in the mental health field in the past.

Why are you still married to your wife who fantasizes about drugging and harming people?
