Do you ever try to talk to your made up characters/actual existing fictional characters in your imaginary world? Sometimes I do that, but I don't really move on to other topics when talking to them, and the conversation doesn't last long before it starts to fade away in my mind due to having a hard time seeing them in my mind visually, and other reasons that would be hard to explain here.

Not really; I have a cast of made-up characters that I think about a lot, but one of them is heavily based on myself, so I never feel the need to insert my real self. Sometimes when I play videogames, I imagine myself in my character's shoes, but I wouldn't say that talking to the other characters in the game is the main point to that.

I channel spirits and talk to them.
