The Guardian has really stepped up its propaganda campaign this week, with pictures of injured children they most likely got from the Oscar winning "White Helmets", whose leader wasn't able to go to the US to pick up the award as he was a security threat and has ties to terrorist groups. The other main source they use is the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. A guy in his bedroom in Coventry, England.

The Assad government needs to win this war and take the country back.

Do you know what would be better? Progressive organisations within Syria should take the country back.

Of course, if a progressive organisation ever got into power in Syria, the US government would likely crush it, just like they crushed Allende.

Another George Orwell.Ministry of Truth production to encourage feeding the military industrial complex (MIC). The US was trying to overthrow Assad, but now has to switch sides and support him. Turkey is attacking the Kurds. The US protects the Kurds from Russia and Assad..Assads government, supported by Russia, is moving to protect the Kurds and repel Turkeys invasion of Syria. After a few years of a costly war with Turkey, we can continue to feed the MIC by resuming interference in the Syrias civil war.

Outside of preventing Russia from gaining control of the Kurdish oil reserves, we have no reason to be there. I am pretty sure the dollar value of the oil is much less than the cost of defending it. Russia is firmy embedded insyria and is imossible to remove now, but the MIC will continue to make billions in the trade of blood for oil.

This is what happens when a democratic country has no laws against corruption. Democracy erodes into plutocracy. Plutocrats gain control of the armed forces ... and than all Hell breaks loose.

It's gotten to the point where most Americans don't even know what the US military is up to ... because the average American has no role in the decision-making process.

That's why the average American doesn't know about the US government's role in the East Timor Genocide. The whole thing was done without even informing the average American. The US government just does whatever the plutocrats tell it to do and then these same plutocrats flood the media with distractions. "Pay no attention to what is happening in the rest of the world! Don't root for the heroes who are standing up against genocidal maniacs! Wouldn't you rather root for a football team?"

That's why I made a thread a while back defending the average American and American culture. We all need to understand that the US government constantly acts without even asking the average American for input.

Hillary Clinton beat Bernie Sanders in the primaries even though he was more popular. Trump later beat Clinton after Clinton won the popular vote.

I'm just saying. You can't always judge a country by its election results. Don't assume that "democracy" works as intended.
