Hi all:

Just wanted to get the word and Save the Date out about the 2nd Annual Southeast Adult Autism Symposium, which will be taking place at the Chattanoogan Hotel in Chattanooga, TN USA on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Full day conference founded by an autistic adult for autistic adults/young adults, their parents/caregivers, and other interested individuals. For more information, go to http://www.gcaspies.org/symposiumhomepage. Early Bird online registration starts in late March 2018. Please share with family members, friends, and other autistic adults who could benefit from attending this event.

There is a Welcome Reception and Dining Out event that takes place the day before the Symposium, and a Closing Reception that takes place the evening after the Symposium. Lots of great speakers, lots of great information.

Thanks.

After a frustrating search for more information, I found the facebook page for this organization. The website listed above will not be active until late March or early April. The idea of the conference sounds good, but the planning is only half baked right now. I might attend, depending on what the details turn out to be.

Yes, online registration will not start until late March, so no one can register at this time.

Not everything is finalized at this time. Scott

South East where? South East Asia?... Ah U.S. If it doesn't specify it's always U.S.

More information can be found by going to www.gcaspies.org/symposiumhomepage, including that it is in the USA. If there is not anything like this outside the USA, then my recommendation or suggestion is for someone to start something like this in another country.

Personally, I'm ecstatic that there's an organization that's completely dedicated to ADULTS with Autism which will help dispel the myth that Autism ends with adulthood. Bravo guys! Having been diagnosed only a few months ago with Asperger's Syndrome at 42 years of age I will be watching GCAspies very closely.

Bravo once again!

:D

Thank you :D This is one thing that needs to going on around the world and not just in a few places.

I think the decade of the 2020s will see an explosion in these kind of autism conferences.
