If you're old enough to be drafted into the military and kill people with a gun.

Then you're old enough to own a gun.

Of course they are.. young hormonal males are the gun industry's perfect target market. Raising the age would reduce sales figures as well as possibly mellow out the gun culture in the USA if people weren't drawn into it in their teenage years.

Or maybe they'd just end up binge-buying guns when they turn 21 just like every American who can't handle drinking alcohol appropriately when they turn 21..
