Why do they call the things you sit in "pews"?

FYI at my friends' gay warehouse party place.. well, 2 locations ago, they had a couple old pews from some church - which I always thought was so funny considering how many gay guys hooked up on them at super late night EDM parties. :lol:

We all thought it was rather funny. Sometimes life is about getting a kick out of the little things.

A week or so ago I snapped a pic of a rainbow in the clouds off to the right of the gay beach at the main beach I go to and posted it to Facebook. Yep , it is a Christian symbol you heathen :lol: God made one for Noah after the floods as some sort of sign. ( I remember far too much God stuff from Sunday school :lol: )
