Hi all. I'm a 45 year old female who got my diagnosis of Aspergers yesterday! I know very little about it so I've just ordered some books and would love to actually make contact with people in a similar situation. I've got a good job and have made a relative success of my life, despite some great difficulties getting to this point. So currently in a bit of shock but very happy to have an answer to some long standing questions about my life. :D

Welcome to WrongPlanet.

I was diagnosed at about the same age, just a few years ago. It can be a bit of a roller-coaster ride at first - but just remember, the diagnosis doesn't change a thing about who you are unless you want it to, and watch out you don't overwhelm yourself by trying to take it all in too quickly. WrongPlanet has been a great place to get some help wrapping my head around it all - I hope you find the same! :D
