Or is it a humorous way to point out how people who's beliefs are very, very similar sometimes get hung up on small (insignificant) differences?

I've heard that joke many times. For a while, it was circulating around as an email. I wonder if it orginally came from Emo? Anyway, he told it well.

was i the only one that thought that was stupid and unfunny. i hope that guy doesnt make a living doing standup comedy
