How would a civilization be in which all or most had AS?

This question has been on my mind for quite some time. I have some ideas, but I must finish some assignments right now, so I'll see what you have to say and post my own later.

I think it would be highly advanced, yet a detatched and cold-mannered one with little to no social interaction.

Well organized, and the trains would run on time...

I sure don't think we'd be in the mess we're in, that's for sure! : )

But WP is a society of aspies, and it's warm, humane, caring, funny, creative, interlectual and full of social interaction...

Very little eye contact, though.

It might more closely resemble Ecotopia than Mad Max.

Aspies very frequently have poor organizational skills. There would probably be extreme difficulty in handling the routine day-to-day administration of such a society, and thus it would not likely be viable.

A big government/big business/growth-oriented society would certainly not be compatable with aspies running it.

The right kind of autistic spectrum - NT community would work very well. There could be a mad scientist high tech development group who could invent things and then have some NTs market them.

Who needs 'em? I'm not NT and I could market 'em just fine!

Okay, we'll have the aspy marketing savants do all the marketing. Get ready world!

The last guy who tried that wound up hanging upside down in a public square, and it was a horriffic couple of years. I'm told Hitler also made the trains run on time.

All of one type of person in any situation would be boring and confining. No one says that Aspies should try to be NTs, but gawd, I'd go further out of my mind than I already am.

I think we'd be able to see what needs to be done and get it done without all of the stupid power plays and quests for glory/popularity that infects the NT mind. The reason so many of us find it hard to integrate fully into society is because of all of the social expectations and games we're expected to play that have nothing to do with seeing root problems or organizing around a solution. Also, I don't think you necessarily need a rigid hierarchy and authoritarian bosses at the top to get anything done. The anarchists of Spain during WWII did fairly well considering that they fought a two front war against the Nazis and Franco's gov't.

A society where we're left alone for the most part without worrying about all of the social nonsense we must contend with on a daily basis would be a utopia. I can only dream.
