Oh yes, I went through an obesessive phase recently. I downloaded remastered bootlegs of all their major studio albums. The quality is a step up from what you buy in the shops. They sound lovely.

Josh Groban

I adore his voice. He's talented and shockingly you don't hear ANYTHING about him on the news because he's not into drugs, booze or making an @$$ of himself in public.

Autodidact, you list many of my favorites. I should pick up the last one from Innocence Mission. Will The Sundays ever release another album? Hey, My Bloody Valentine is coming back, so anything's possible. Anyway, back on topic.

My biggest obsessions over the years -- PJ Harvey, Guided By Voices, Soundgarden, Sleater-Kinney, Harrison Birtwistle, Elliott Carter, Olivier Messiaen, Brian Ferneyhough, The Smiths, Henry Rollins, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Kaija Saariaho, Debussy, Machaut, Bob Mould.

The music itself: Evanescence, definitely. And to a lesser extent, Orgy.

Musicians but not so much the music they make: Emilie Autumn and Marilyn Manson

Obsession wise, Jim Morrison and the other Doors.

Although generally speaking I am obsessed with all the music I like. There is so much, that by the time I have played something until it annoys me, there is more to go round, and the boring piece will no longer be that. Either that, or I shall find something new.
