I thought Superbad was really good. Not as good as 40 Year Old Virgin or Knocked Up, though.

40-year-old virgin was good, but I avoided Knocked Up as it looked so awful, and given the actors... nooooo. Katherine Heigl is normally good, dunno what she was thinking.

Anyway.

I actually gave Superbad a -10 star review (in a review system of 1-5 stars!!) for a magazine. :P

If you liked 40 Year Old Virgin, I can't see why you wouldn't enjoy the other two films. They're by the same director, have a few recurring cast members and have the same sense of humour. I'd say Knocked Up was almost as good as 40 Year Old Virgin. The main weakness of the third film is that the plot tends to meander a bit.

The Astronaut Farmer

One of the worst movies I have ever seen, trite, boring, full of scientific impossibilities. I expected more of Billy Bob, I mean Sling Blade was amazing.

Worst movie of 2007 for me?

I Am Legend.

It's a ripoff remake of another remake. This movie just plain sucked. I like Will Smith, but I thought it was a shitty movie.

That was certainly one of the creepier ones I've seen. Should have been marketed under horror instead of scifi.

If you read the books ... the fifth is (IMHO) the most boring.

My favourite books are the Sixth and then the Third, which means that the next movie should be pretty good.

For me, the fifth HP book actively made me suicidal; so I had no desire to read it again, let alone see it.

It was way too long and Harry seemed way too out of character - very very angry/aggressive all the time.

But the sixth book.... wow.

I didn't go so much on 7 - got good towards the end but after a great beginning, slowed right down for ages.

considering the circumstances i saw it in character. he'd just seen one of his classmates die and was basically going through post traumatic stress disorder because of it, he had the Ministry pretty much torturing him because he wasn't following the party line, and he was forced into a fate he didn't ask for. i think any of us would be a little testy.

but that's for another discussion. back to bad movies.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. (And I LIKE superheroes.)

Runner up: Ghost Rider, though that was so bad it was funny, rather than just being hopelessly boring.

Worst films I never actually saw (the trailers were enough):
Bratz (EWW EWW EWWW this trailer made me feel constipated and nausiated at the same damn time)
Daddy Day Camp
Blood and Chocolate (though it was worth it to hear the trailer voice say "Blood and Chocolate" in such a dramatic way--rather hilarious)
Alvin and the Chipmunks

^^Blood and Chocolate haha. I remember turning to my sister and laughing at that title. It would have been different if it were something sophisticated that went with the tone of the film like "Blood and Wine", but no, the blood and chocolate title just conjures up images of a mass shooting at Willy Wonka's factory. Might as well have called it "Blood and Tootsie Roll Pops".

I thought "I am legend" was a real turkey. Probably the worst movie of 2007 was "Bratz: the movie" (although I have never seen it). Good luck chuck looked absolutely terrible too. In fact, most movies are pretty bad now, so it is difficult to really rank them when so many are just crap.

I think most movies aimed towards 12 year old girls are pretty boring. Especially nowadays. I mean"friends and fashion come to life". Hrmm. :?

I'm assuming you haven't even seen it yet. It's actually a good movie. My mom definitely liked me enjoying that one instead of enjoying "Halloween", which I had liked as well.

"work those IQ's but don't lose your passion for fashion" that is a really stupid thing to say. I read a review about the bratz movie and it only got one star.

Daddy Day Camp. Really really bad apparently. (no stars or just half a star)(have not seen it just going by what i have read)

Just saw I am Legend last night, it had some good bits but wasn't anywhere near The Omega Man. I haven't seen the Vincent Price version so I can't compare with that.
